Creating and scheduling posts
Schedule your first post
Write a post once, tailor it per platform, and put it on the calendar. A walkthrough of composing, scheduling, and checking that it published.

Once you have a channel connected, scheduling a post takes a couple of minutes. Write it once, adjust it per platform if you want to, pick a time, and let Lemonpost publish it.
Write and schedule
- Click New post to open Lemon Studio.
- Pick the channels this post goes to. You can select several at once.
- Write your caption.
- Add media by dragging a file in, or pull one from the media library.
- Choose Schedule and pick the date and time.
- Click Schedule post.
The post appears on your calendar at that time. That is the whole flow.
Tailor it per platform
Posting the same caption everywhere is the fastest way to sound like a robot on at least one platform. In the composer, each selected channel gets its own tab. Open one and edit that version without touching the others:
- Trim the caption for X
- Move hashtags into a first comment on Instagram or LinkedIn
- Give LinkedIn an opening line that works before the "see more" cut
- Swap the image for a vertical version on TikTok
Anything you do not change stays as you wrote it.
Pick a time that is not a guess
If you have been posting for a while, open Analytics and look at when your audience is actually online. Scheduling into those windows beats picking a round number because it looks tidy.
Times follow your workspace time zone, which you set in workspace settings, so 9:00 means the same thing to everyone on the team.
Check it published
The calendar marks each post as scheduled, published, or failed. Published posts link straight to the live post so you can check it looks right.
If a post fails, we email you and the calendar shows the reason the platform gave. Nine times out of ten it is an expired connection: reconnect the channel in Settings → Channels, then republish from the calendar.
Scheduling and your reach
Scheduled posts do not get pushed down. Posts published through a platform's official API are treated exactly like posts made by hand in the app. What moves reach is showing up consistently with content people want to watch, and scheduling is what makes the consistent part realistic.
Common questions
- Can I write one post and change it per platform?
- Yes, and you usually should. Write the caption once, then open a platform tab in the composer to adjust that version: trim it for X, add hashtags in a first comment on Instagram, or give LinkedIn a different opening line.
- Does scheduling reduce my reach?
- No. Posts published through a platform's official API are treated exactly like posts made by hand in the app. Posting consistently, which scheduling makes easy, is what tends to help.
- What happens if a post fails to publish?
- We email you, and the post stays in the calendar marked as failed with the reason from the platform. Most failures come from an expired connection, so reconnecting the channel and republishing is usually the whole fix.
- Can I schedule posts in a different time zone?
- Yes. Posts are scheduled in your workspace time zone, which you set in workspace settings, so times mean the same thing for everyone on the team no matter where they are.
