Every scheduler says it's built for agencies. The pricing page tells you whether that's true. So this list asks ten tools the five questions an agency buyer actually asks: how is it priced (per seat, channel, brand, or workspace), can clients approve without a login, can you send a report with your own logo, how are clients kept apart, and is there one inbox.

To make the prices real, we costed the same agency on every tool: 4 people, 3 clients, each on 5 platforms, 15 channels in total. Two clients sign off before posts go live. All three expect a monthly report with the agency's logo on it. Every price was read from the vendor's pricing page on 2026-09-03. Where the page didn't say, we say so instead of guessing.

"Not on pricing page" means exactly that: the feature may exist on a plan we can't name from the page, so check before you buy. Inboxes are rarely priced separately, which is why that column is thin.

Lemonpost

Lemonpost is a scheduler for creators, small teams, and agencies. It's first because, for the agency above, it's the lowest price that includes both no-login client approvals and white-label reports.

Pricing. By connected accounts, with unlimited seats on every plan: Creator $29/mo for 5 channels, Growth $99/mo for 15, Pro $249/mo for 40. Our agency needs 15 channels, so that's Growth at $99/mo. 4 people log in, or 14, and the price doesn't move.

Client approvals. Growth and Pro. You send the client a review link. They open it on their phone, read the post, and approve or leave a note. No account, no seat. Each brand sets its own policy: off, contributors only, or every post.

White-label reports. Growth and Pro. Your logo and colors on a report you export and send. Each brand keeps its own branding. For what to put in it, see the social media report template.

Brands. Every client is its own brand, with its own accounts, media library, approval policy, link-in-bio page, and reports.

Inbox. One inbox for comments and DMs across connected accounts, on every plan. TikTok and Pinterest don't expose one; that's the platforms, not the tool.

Best for. Agencies of 2 to 15 people who want approvals and branded reports without seat math. Posting from Claude, ChatGPT, or any MCP client is on every plan too.

Limitation. No social listening and no ads management. Approvals are one step, so if a post must clear a strategist and then a client in sequence, Lemonpost won't enforce that order.

Vista Social

Vista Social has the longest platform list in this group: 12, including Snapchat, Reddit, and Google Business Profile.

Pricing. By plan, with caps on profiles and users. Professional is $79/mo (15 profiles, 2 users), Advanced $149/mo (30 profiles, 4 users), Scale $349/mo (70 profiles, 8 users). Our agency fits Professional's 15 profiles but not its 2 users, so 4 people means Advanced: $149/mo. Extra user pricing isn't listed.

Client approvals. Every plan, single-stage on Professional and multi-stage from Advanced. The pricing page doesn't say whether a client needs a login.

White-label reports. Scale only, $349/mo.

Brands and inbox. Not on the pricing page.

Best for. Agencies that need multi-stage approvals, or clients on Reddit or Snapchat.

Limitation. White-label reports sit on a plan that costs more than double what this agency otherwise needs.

SocialPilot

SocialPilot steps account and user caps up together across four plans.

Pricing. Essentials $20/mo (5 accounts, 1 user), Standard $40/mo (10 accounts, 3 users), Premium $100/mo (20 accounts, 6 users), Ultimate $200/mo (40 accounts, unlimited users). Standard stops at 10 accounts and 3 users, so our agency lands on Premium: $100/mo.

Client approvals. Approval workflows from Standard, client approval from Premium. Whether the client needs a login isn't stated.

White-label reports. Premium and Ultimate, so they're included at our agency's $100.

Brands and inbox. Not on the pricing page.

Best for. Agencies at 15 to 20 accounts who want approvals and white-label reports for about $100.

Limitation. Seats are capped until Ultimate. The seventh person means jumping from $100 to $200.

Metricool

Metricool is a scheduler and analytics tool priced per brand rather than per person or per account.

Pricing. Free covers 1 brand and 20 posts a month. Starter is from $20/mo for 1 brand and $36 for 10 brands. Advanced is from $53/mo, covers up to 50 brands, and adds the post approval system plus team and client management. Our agency has 3 brands and wants approvals, so it's Advanced, from $53/mo. That "from" is the 1-brand figure; the 3-brand price isn't in our record of the page. The page doesn't cap users.

Client approvals. Advanced. Whether the client needs a login isn't stated.

White-label reports. Custom plan only, contact sales.

Brands. The brand is the pricing unit, so each client is separate by design.

Inbox. Not on the pricing page.

Best for. Reporting-heavy agencies with many small clients and no need for white label.

Limitation. White label means a sales call, and X analytics is an add-on on Starter.

Planable

Planable is built around approvals, priced per workspace with unlimited users in each, and it has an MCP connector on every plan.

Pricing. Basic is $33 per workspace per month (4 pages, 60 posts a month, 2 approval types). Pro is $49 per workspace (10 pages, 150 posts a month, 3 approval types). Enterprise is custom. Our agency has 3 clients, so 3 workspaces. Each client has 5 pages, one more than Basic allows, so it's Pro: 3 × $49 = $147/mo. Analytics is a $12 per workspace add-on: 3 × $12 = $36 more, so $183/mo with analytics.

Client approvals. Every plan. Approvals become mandatory from Pro and multi-level on Enterprise. Whether the client needs a login isn't stated.

White-label reports. Not listed.

Brands. The workspace is the unit, so each client is walled off with its own unlimited users.

Inbox. Not on the pricing page.

Best for. Agencies where approval rounds are the main job and seats must be free.

Limitation. Post caps per workspace (150 a month on Pro), and analytics costs extra.

Pallyy

Pallyy is the low-cost option: one social set per plan, extra sets at $10 a month.

Pricing. Free (1 set, 15 posts a month), Starter $15/mo (1 set, 20 posts), Pro $25/mo (1 set, unlimited posts, client and team approvals), and Agency (10 sets, 3 users, custom reports) at a price the page doesn't show. For one person, our agency would be Pro plus 2 extra sets: $25 + 2 × $10 = $45/mo. But Free through Pro are single-user, so 4 people means Agency, at that unlisted price, plus $10 for the fourth user.

Client approvals. Pro and up, named "client and team approvals". Whether the client needs a login isn't stated.

White-label reports. Agency has custom reports and export. The page doesn't call them white-label.

Brands. Social sets, one per client.

Inbox. Not on the pricing page.

Best for. Freelancers with a handful of clients and a tight budget.

Limitation. One seat until Agency, and Agency's price isn't public.

Hootsuite

Hootsuite is the original suite: publishing, listening, ads, and customer care, priced per user and billed annually.

Pricing. Standard $99 per user per month (10 social accounts), Professional $199 per user (unlimited accounts), Advanced up to $399 per user (approval workflows), Enterprise custom. Standard's 10 accounts is short of 15, so our agency starts at Professional: 4 × $199 = $796/mo, billed annually, or $9,552 a year.

Client approvals. Advanced: 4 × up to $399 = up to $1,596/mo. On per-user pricing a client who logs in is another seat, and the plans page doesn't describe a login-free option.

White-label reports. Not listed on the plans page.

Brands and inbox. Not on the plans page.

Best for. Agencies that sell listening, paid social, and care as retainer services. If that's not you, see the Hootsuite alternatives.

Limitation. Every person is a seat, and approvals sit on the top self-serve plan.

Sprout Social

Sprout Social is the enterprise suite: publishing, care, listening, and reporting, priced per seat.

Pricing. Essentials $79 per seat per month billed annually (5 profiles), Standard $199 per seat (5 profiles), Professional $299 per seat (unlimited profiles), Advanced $399 per seat, Enterprise custom. Essentials and Standard each hold 5 profiles. 15 means Professional: 4 × $299 = $1,196/mo, or $14,352 a year.

Client approvals. Available, but the pricing page doesn't say from which plan.

White-label reports. Not listed.

Brands and inbox. Not on the pricing page.

Best for. Agencies whose clients require enterprise reporting and listening and pay for it. Otherwise, see the Sprout Social alternatives.

Limitation. About 12 times the cheapest plan here that covers the same agency ($1,196 against $99), and every user is a seat.

Buffer

Buffer is a scheduler priced per channel per month, with a free plan for 3 channels.

Pricing. Free (3 channels, 10 scheduled posts per channel, 1 user), Essentials $5 per channel per month (1 user), Team $10 per channel per month (unlimited users, approval workflows, branded reports). Essentials is single-user, so our agency is on Team: 15 × $10 = $150/mo.

Client approvals. Team. Whether the client needs a login isn't stated.

White-label reports. Team: branded reports with your logo and a cover page.

Brands and inbox. Not on the pricing page.

Best for. Small agencies that add channels one at a time. Buffer also lists integrations for Claude, ChatGPT, and Cursor.

Limitation. The bill grows with every account. 40 channels on Team is $400/mo.

Later

Later is priced per social set and per user, billed yearly, with a social set holding one brand's 8 profiles.

Pricing. Starter $18.75/mo (1 social set, 1 user), Growth $37.50/mo (2 sets, 2 users, approvals), Scale $82.50/mo (6 sets, 4 users). Extra users are $3.75/mo. Our agency has 3 clients and 4 people; Growth has 2 sets and 2 users, so it's Scale: $82.50/mo billed yearly, $990 a year.

Client approvals. Growth and Scale, described as submit and approve. Whether the client needs a login isn't stated.

White-label reports. Not listed. Scale has shareable reports.

Brands. Social sets: one brand across platforms, 8 profiles each.

Inbox. Not on the pricing page.

Best for. Instagram and TikTok-led agencies with up to 6 clients and a yearly budget.

Limitation. No white-label reports, no X or Bluesky on the platform list, and the prices assume yearly billing.

Which one for which agency

The scenario above is one agency shape. Here are three more, from the same pricing pages.

Solo freelancer, 3 clients, about 10 channels. If clients don't need to approve, Buffer Essentials is 10 × $5 = $50/mo, and Metricool Starter is from $20 for 1 brand (the 3-brand price isn't published). If they do, Pallyy Pro plus 2 extra sets is $45/mo for one seat. When the monthly report has to carry your logo, Lemonpost Growth is $99/mo with approvals and white label included, and it stays $99 the day you hire.

4-person boutique, 6 clients, about 30 channels. Later Scale is $82.50/mo billed yearly and fits exactly (6 sets, 4 users), but reports aren't white-label. For approvals plus white-label reports: SocialPilot Ultimate is $200/mo (Premium stops at 20 accounts), and Lemonpost Pro is $249/mo for 40 channels, unlimited seats, and no-login review links. Vista Social Advanced fits at $149/mo, but white label needs Scale at $349. Buffer Team is 30 × $10 = $300/mo. Planable Pro is 6 × $49 = $294/mo before analytics.

15-person agency, 30 clients, about 150 channels. This is where most pricing pages turn into a contact form. Vista Social's Scale tops out at 70 profiles, SocialPilot's Ultimate at 40 accounts, and Lemonpost's Pro at 40 channels; all three go to a custom plan. Public prices that still work: Buffer Team at 150 × $10 = $1,500/mo with unlimited users, and Planable Pro at 30 × $49 = $1,470/mo before analytics. Metricool Advanced covers up to 50 brands with no user cap, but the 30-brand price isn't published. Hootsuite Professional is 15 × $199 = $2,985/mo billed annually, with approvals on Advanced at up to 15 × $399 = $5,985/mo. Sprout Professional is 15 × $299 = $4,485/mo.

Full plan details are on the pricing page. The alternatives hub has one-on-one comparisons with five of the tools above.

FAQ

What's the cheapest social media management tool for a small agency? For one person, Pallyy Pro at $25/mo plus $10 per extra social set. For a team that needs client approvals and white-label reports on 15 channels, Lemonpost Growth at $99/mo and SocialPilot Premium at $100/mo are the two under $150.

Can clients approve posts without logging in? On Lemonpost, yes: clients get a review link and approve from their phone with no account. Most other pricing pages list approvals from a certain plan but don't say whether the client needs a seat, so ask before you buy, especially on per-seat tools.

What does white-label reporting mean? The report carries your agency's logo and colors and no sign of the software that made it. Among these ten it's on Lemonpost Growth and Pro, Buffer Team, SocialPilot Premium and Ultimate, and Vista Social Scale; Metricool puts it on a custom plan.

Is per-seat or per-channel pricing cheaper for an agency? Per-seat bills grow every time you hire. Per-channel and per-brand bills grow every time you win a client. For a 4-person, 15-channel agency, the per-seat tools here cost $796 to $1,196 a month against $82.50 to $150 for the tools priced by channels or social sets.

Do I need a separate workspace for each client? Yes, if you want clean reports, a media library that never mixes up logos, and approval rules per client. Metricool, Planable, Pallyy, Later, and Lemonpost make the brand, workspace, or social set the unit; the per-seat and per-channel tools don't describe client grouping on their pricing pages.

Are Hootsuite or Sprout Social worth it for an agency? If you sell social listening, paid social, or customer care as retainer services and clients pay for them, yes. If you mostly plan, post, approve, and report, you're paying for a suite you won't open.
