How Klaro's marketing team stopped drowning in tabs and started posting every day

Honestly, I thought cheaper meant worse. It didn't. It just did the one thing we actually needed.

The problem

Klaro is a B2B SaaS startup that helps small businesses manage their spending. The marketing team is small, just three people, and they run social on six platforms plus the founders' LinkedIn.

They wanted to post every day. The trouble was how long it took. They had a couple of tools and a spreadsheet, and every post got copied by hand into each app. Approvals happened in Slack, then someone would forget, and a post would go out late or not at all.

We'd miss the Friday post basically every week. Someone would go, wait, did anyone post today? And no. No one had.

The old tool also charged per person. So every time the team grew, so did the bill.

The solution

Georg went looking for something cheaper and less bloated than the big platforms. He found Lemonpost. He was not sold right away.

I'll be honest, I was skeptical. Usually cheap means it's missing half the stuff you need. But the stuff it was missing turned out to be stuff we never actually used.

Setup took about 15 minutes. They connected all six platforms, put everything in one calendar, and turned on approvals so the founders sign off with a link instead of a Slack thread. Now they sit down once and plan the week.

They also connected Lemonpost to ChatGPT and Gemini.

I just tell ChatGPT what we want to post that week and it lands in the calendar. I don't really think about it as a feature, it's just how I work now.

The results

Posting went from about eight hours a week to two.

It used to eat my whole Monday morning. Now it's coffee, half an hour, done. My team thinks I'm slacking off.

They actually post now, too. They went from a few posts a week to every day across all six platforms. Over 12 months, their following grew by 321% and engagement was up 63%.

And the bill stopped growing with the team.

We brought on a freelancer last month and the price didn't move. That genuinely surprised me. Our old tool would've charged us more.

One honest trade-off, in his words:

The analytics are more basic than what we had before. But if I'm being real, we barely opened the old reports. So I don't miss them.

And a small thing that turned out to matter:

The founders can see the whole calendar and approve stuff in a few taps. That killed a whole email chain we used to have every week.

What's next

Klaro is adding YouTube next and planning more content, without adding more hours.

It's just one less thing I dread on a Monday. That's kind of it. But that turned out to be a big deal for me.

His advice for other small teams:

If you're a small team trying to look bigger than you are, you don't need the giant tool. We were paying for buttons we never touched.
